John Henry first approached us for help when his fiancée, Fenglan Yu, who is a Chinese citizen, had been refused entry and had her visit visa cancelled when she arrived in the UK. From what he told us about it, there did not seem to be any realistic prospect of an appeal being successful, and so we advised him to let the matter go, and to make an application for settlement once they were closer to getting married.
We next heard from John several months later, when he rang us to say that he wanted us to prepare an application for Fenglan to come to the UK on the basis of their marriage. Getting together the paperwork that was needed took John and Fenglan a very long time, but we got there in the end! Fenglan’s visa was granted in less than two weeks. She and John now live in Scotland, where she has set up two businesses.

“I approached Global Immigration Solutions in early 2013 to ask initially for advice on getting a visa for my then Fiance’e to come to the UK to visit me. I spoke to Asha Thomas at length who was very approachable and helpful.
I married my now wife Fenglan who resided in China in March 2013. After the marriage I moved over to China on a standard 6 month visa with intentions of trying to settle there but found it difficult to live there for many reasons.
I contacted Global Immigration Solutions and again spoke to Asha. I explained my circumstances and that we had decided that Fenglan would move to the UK to live and could she act for us in applying for a spousal visa. During the application process my circumstances changed, this was after several very important documents had been completed and signed. This meant that they had to be done all over again. Both Asha and Keith went out of their way to make sure I had the amended documents in a timely manner so as not to hold up the application, and I was not charged anything extra even though they had to do a lot of extra work.
Our application was made in April 2014 and within 9 working days we got news that the application was successful. Fenglan arrives in the UK on 16th August to start her new life in the UK.
