John Paul Colley

Gambia

“Both myself and my husband will be eternally thankful to Global Immigration Solutions as they enabled us to be reunited as husband and wife.

John Paul’s application to come to the UK as the spouse of Ruth Carroll, a British citizen living in Grimsby, was refused because the Entry Clearance Officer in Gambia was not satisfied that they were legally married, and because Ruth made use of an authorised overdraft.

The original marriage certificate had been submitted with the application, but the Entry Clearance Officer was not satisfied that it was an authentic document.  With the appeal we enclosed a letter from the pastor who had performed the ceremony, confirming that they were legally married.  We also pointed out that use of an authorised overdraft does not necessarily imply that a person is not able to meet their financial obligations.

The Entry Clearance Officer accepted the evidence and the arguments that we put forward with the appeal, and called John Paul in to the Visa Application Centre to issue him with a visa without the matter needing to go before an Immigration Judge.  The couple now live together in the UK, with their son, Alfie.

This is what Ruth had to say when we asked them for a testimonial:

“Both myself and John Paul have been extremely happy and grateful with the support, guidance and communication received from Global Immigration Solutions.  They dealt with our visa refusal with confidence and reassurance, there were many times when I made contact  via email and mobile and each time they responded quickly and effectively which helped reduce the anxieties that come along with having the visa refused.

The paperwork produced was to a high standard and we were kept informed of the process and how the case was progressing at all times.

Both myself and my husband will be eternally thankful to Global Immigration Solutions as they enabled us to be reunited as husband and wife.”
