Jon and Armine first met on holiday in Spain. They had known each other for over two years before they decided to marry, but Armine’s entry clearance application was refused, and the Entry Clearance Officer stated that Armine had made false representations in her application, which carries a mandatory ban. When we lodged an appeal the Entry Clearance Officer withdrew the decision, but only to refuse it again, for different reasons. However it all ended happily for them when our arguments were accepted by the Immigration Judge, who allowed the appeal on the spot. Jon and Armine now live in Chester.
